Lexus Photos from Toyko Motor Salon
Photographer Anthony Carbone attended the Tokyo Motor Salon and came away with some great photos of the Lexus in attendance (click the photos to go to the full gallery):
Wald International Lexus IS-F Black Bison Edition
Club Linea Lexus LX 570
DAD Lexus LS 460
I had to do a double take on that DAD LS interior, which is so extraordinary it basically defies description.
Anthony has numerous other photos, be sure to check out his full Tokyo Motor Salon photo gallery.

Wow…look at that LS! Don’t think all the safety features are useful anymore
And I thought they didn’t sell the LX in Japan…at least, not under the Lexus brand.
And that LF-A!!!

and apparently, people noticed the LF-A’s little accident on the Nurburgring Nordschleife. lol

Very good point about the LX and Japan, that didn’t even cross my mind.

hehe
If I had the time…and the willingness to spend some money, I would go right to one of those really open Lexus dealers (like the one that sells those F sport wheels for the LX) …to help me get the corporate Lexus company to build me a custom LX.
Things I would consider…
- matte carbon fiber body panels
- black-gold-plated over where it would be chrome (wheels too)
- ask for an appropriate reiteration of the LF-Xh
- IMPORTANTLY, maintain its off-road capabilities
- semi-aniline leather on every bit of the interior
- more wood (Bubinga?)
- black gold in place of chrome inside too
- brushed aluminum for everywhere else
- everything made or supported by carbon fiber?
- redesign the seats for better comfort for all 8 occupants (7 at least)
- make sure they still fold flat into the floor
- wide cargo area and bigger trunk opening
- intricately detailed ceiling
- heavy duty but pleasant looking floor mats
- upgrade electronics (maybe even have a system specifically for GPS, etc and another for the more vulnerable, fully compatible CPU)
Major changes like…
- further research into the chassis
- make sure all sensors are simple and nearly glitch-proof
- sensors for tiny electrical machines supporting the folding seats and side windows (child-safe)
- machine-operated headrests, footrests, and seat-belt height control
I love the designing a car to its very best …minus all the hard parts x]
I hope Lexus would someday publicly offer such an extensive customization program like many other prestigious luxury brands. Yes, I still think that L-finesse has a lot of potential.

Can’t believe I skipped the most important thing of all!!! …LED interior lighting all around with a range of warm and cool colors …a bit for the exterior too - running boards maybe?
And then…maybe semi-stealth and complete stealth mode at a push of a button to turn off all the pretty, glittery interior lights for certain reasons.
Or maybe…in addition to wood and leather, there would be scratch-resistant molded glass/crystal flowing through the interior that can give off warm heat when the heater is on.
LOL I can go on and on and on…
There’s an interesting “charm” about Lexus that makes me so devoted to the brand.
Who said Lexus didn’t have character? Or maybe it’s only after one customizes a Lexus x]
