When the new BMW 7-series was introduced last week, there was certainly some criticism of the exterior, particularly in its likeness to the Lexus LS. When comparing the direct side profiles, I saw a passing resemblance, but couldn’t understand the big fuss. Then I saw this action montage:
That’s just unfortunate.

I see it is similar to the Lexus. Especially at the back. Hey if BMW takes Lexus elements design all the power to Lexus. Usually it is lexus taking the design elements

the only difference is the badges, the shape of the lights AFTER the trunk-gap, the outward gap at the BMW’s front wheel, and the BMW flipped the Lexus exhausts upside down

What does that mean, Rod?

I was responding to the Bland commet….Circus Wagons as in Lux cars with big wheels.

ROD: Gotcha. Definitely, I don’t really find the new BMW 7 design to be bland, I’m more disappointed with the super-similarities to the LS rear.

I didn’t see any Lexus lover going nuts about how much the current-gen LS looks like the old 7. Hell, Lexus stole enough of the old 7’s look to not look anything like the new 7.

the point is BMW did copy Lexus LS’s design.this is bad and good.
bad:BMW is gonna rip off Lexus designs and claim they came out with it sooner…
good:BMW is showing off as the Lexus killer, and now they’re desperate enough to copy Lexus.
did anybody besides me notice the Mercedes ML headlights are a polished-up rip off of the first-gen RX?

it’s actually like the LS’s tailights and the GS’s tailights in some freaky,German mutant form.
