Lexus HS 250h Youtube Video
So far, the only video I’ve seen of the Lexus HS 250h was the Mark Templin Introduction speech, so I was looking forward to this Youtube footage:
At least we know two full-grown men can fit in the trunk!
On a serious note, the last 15 seconds show a cross-section version of the HS’ Hybrid Synergy Drive. It’s been reported that the battery pack is underneath the car, but the camera’s too blurry and shaky to really decipher much:

Is that big chunky box behind the rear seats the battery or is it the fuel tank?

Actually, I really appreciate Lexus’ attention to details in the exterior of this vehicle. After some time, I’m really starting to like the looks of the vehicle, while there still are many things to argue about - esp. the fact that this dedicated hybrid looks like Lexus simply drew pretty lines around a good platform with a really short wheelbase and long overhangs.
But still, I really like how Lexus is beginning to make their “detail behind every detail” a physical…literal…see-able motto.

That little black cover looks like the HV battery service plug cover to me.

Fixed it.
Timetoy found some additional photos of the cutout (first comment), it does look like the battery is behind the back seat.

Looking at the white tubes (Cooling maybe ?) it seems that there are some batteries behind the rear seat AND under it
