Lexus Enform Video Presentation
This CNet video walks us through the features of the new Lexus Enform telematics service:
There’s some very interesting technical points here, particularly the natural language interface to traffic and stock information. The eDestination feature could be a great addition as well, depending on the quality of information provided by Lexus.

I like to buy my car and own it.
I hate subscriptions that I have to constantly pay for and worry about in the future. Does Lexus understand that that is why the GPS wasn’t so successful at first? I really hope that I am part of the majority that would stand on its own ground because these look like pretty awesome features that would evidently look absent on your vehicle.

From the sounds of it, not opting for Enform after the first complimentary year would just remove these specific features.

I can safely say that the GPS function of the system will remain in tact even after your first free year expires. The other On-Star-esque features will not.
If the price was reasonable (lets say $100 per year), I would be willing to pay a little extra to keep these features. Remember Lexus is aimed at white collars so I would bet a good amount of customers will keep their subscriptions after the first free year.
