Lexus RX 450h Test Drive Videos
Today we have two unique 2010 Lexus RX 450h videos that are the equivalent of an Internet test drive — no dialogue, POV angles, long ambling drives down deserted highways — all to give an insight into potential ownership.
The first video is from Lexus Japan, and is likely taken from a promo DVD — it benefits from some upbeat music and some quirky cuts:
This second video is a much longer affair, and is almost certainly the unedited footage from an Autopista RX review. At eighteen minutes long and no dialogue, it’s not for the impatient. (Watch for the RX backup camera demonstration at the 2:11 mark):
Still amazes me how quiet this new RX is, at one point I heard birds chirping over the engine.

I dont think the US will get those backup camera trajectory lines

I’m pretty sure we will. It is, in a way, much better than the auto parking on the LS, and I specifically remembering some reviews and US commentators on other sites saying that the trajectory lines makes the auto parking unnecessary.

Most definitely — though I’m a sucker for black with the LED lights. Beautiful.

Is it just me…
Remember how Lexus wanted to make the second generation RX more “masculine” with its aggressive taillights? Remember how they said they attempted to do the same with this latest generation - the adding the masculinity”?
Well, I think they, once again, simply took care of the taillights, something that people will be staring at when you cut in front of them. I mean… maybe it’s just the pixelations or something, but the taillights of the RXh in the second video shown above greatly resembled that of a cat’s eye - even better, a snake’s eyes …an alligator’s/crocodile’s eyes!
